Every action has a published price in credits. Your plan comes with a monthly balance; when a month runs hot you can buy more. Nothing here is estimated after the fact — these are the same rates your account is charged at.

The parts people ask about
You are charged what it cost, not what it might have cost
A generation holds an upper bound while it runs, then settles to the real cost and returns the difference the same day. The number on the button is the ceiling — the charge is usually smaller.
Talking to the assistant is free
Chat, drafting and brainstorming are not metered in credits. They are paced by fair use, so a heavy afternoon may quietly move to a faster model, but they never spend your balance. Credits are for the things that produce a file.
Purchased credits are spent last
Your monthly credits go first, so credits you paid for are still there when the month rolls over. They stay valid for 12 months.
Cancelling does not take your credits
Credits you bought remain on the account. Your monthly allowance stops with the plan.
