Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 8 September 2026
This policy explains how subscription cancellations and payment refunds work for Reachype, operated by Reachype. It forms part of our Terms of Use.
1. Who takes your payment
All payments for Reachype are processed by Paddle, acting as merchant of record. Paddle issues the invoice and Paddle processes the refund; your card details never reach our systems. You can therefore raise a refund request through Paddle's paddle.net support portal or write to us directly — both routes end up in the same place.
2. Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel at any time, without giving a reason, from Settings → Billing in the app.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period: you keep full access to your plan until that date, automatic renewal then stops, and your account returns to the free plan. Nothing is charged at the moment you cancel, and the period you have already paid for is not refunded pro rata — because your access to the service runs to the end of it.
3. Requesting a refund
Under Paddle's Buyer Terms, you may withdraw from a purchase for any reason within 14 days of the transaction. If you have not started using the service in that time, you receive a full refund.
If you have started using it — for example by generating content with the credits included in your plan — that right may be limited to the extent of the use. We will still look at your request: where usage has been light and the request is made in good faith, we would rather refund you.
Requests outside the 14-day window are not guaranteed, but if a technical fault prevented you from using the service, write to us — we treat those separately.
4. Credit packs (one-time purchases)
Credit packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. When a credit pack payment is refunded, the credits that payment added to your account are reversed. If those credits have already been spent, your balance can go negative and is offset against your next top-up.
Credits are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Unused credits may expire according to the rules of your plan; the current rules are on the credit rates page.
5. How and when a refund is paid
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method (card, PayPal, and so on). Once Paddle has processed the refund, the money typically reaches your account in 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider. That timing is outside our control and Paddle's.
If the refunded payment was for a subscription, that subscription ends with the refund and your account returns to the free plan.
6. Chargebacks
If something has gone wrong, please write to us before raising a chargeback with your bank — it is almost always the faster route to a resolution. Where a chargeback is opened, access to the service and the credits associated with the disputed payment may be suspended until it is resolved.
7. Contact
For any refund or cancellation request, write to support@reachype.com. Quoting the date of the payment and the email address on the invoice is enough for us to find it.
