Etsy Fee Calculator

Inputs

Etsy sets the payment processing fee by your bank account's country and the regulatory operating fee by the seller's country; the chosen country's rates and currency are filled in.

What the buyer pays for the item, without shipping. The currency follows your bank account's country.

Etsy's transaction and payment processing fees are charged on the order total, shipping included.

Leave at no VAT unless the price you enter includes VAT you owe on the sale.

Etsy fees

Etsy's published rate: 6.5% of the order total, including shipping and gift wrap.

$0.20 per listing. A listing lasts four months, and the fee is charged again for each extra unit sold from it. In another currency Etsy converts it at the day's market rate; enter the converted amount.

By your bank account's country: Türkiye 6.5%, United States 3%, United Kingdom and Germany 4%. Charged on the total including shipping and any sales tax.

Türkiye 14 TRY, United States $0.25, United Kingdom £0.20, Germany €0.30.

Türkiye 1.67%, United Kingdom 0.48%; none for the United States and Germany.

Turn on if the buyer clicked an ad Etsy ran off its own site and then bought.

How are Etsy fees calculated?

From the item plus shipping, Etsy takes a 6.5% transaction fee, a payment processing fee and, in some countries, a regulatory fee. Listing costs $0.20.

Transaction fee (Item price + Shipping) × 6.5%

Payment processing (Item price + Shipping) × Country rate + Fixed fee

Frequently asked questions

What fees does Etsy charge on each sale?

Every sale carries a 6.5% transaction fee on the order total, including shipping and gift wrap, and a payment processing fee that depends on your bank account's country. Sellers in Türkiye and the United Kingdom also pay a regulatory operating fee. Add $0.20 per listing, the Offsite Ads fee when the order came from one of Etsy's off-site ads, and a 2.5% conversion fee when your listing currency differs from your payment account's.

Why does my bank account's country change the fees?

Etsy sets payment processing by the country of the bank account you are paid into: 3% + $0.25 in the United States, 4% + £0.20 in the United Kingdom, 4% + €0.30 in Germany and 6.5% + 14 TRY in Türkiye. Türkiye (1.67%) and the United Kingdom (0.48%) add a regulatory operating fee; the United States and Germany do not. The transaction fee is 6.5% everywhere.

When is the Offsite Ads fee charged?

Only when the buyer clicked an ad Etsy ran off its own site and then bought. The rate is 15%; it falls to 12% for shops that have made $10,000 or more in sales in any 365-day period, and for those shops the ads are mandatory. The fee never exceeds $100 per order.

Does Etsy charge VAT on its fees?

For some sellers, yes: Etsy adds VAT to its fees for sellers in Türkiye who have not given a VAT ID, for example. Etsy does not publish the rate, so enter the one on your Etsy bill in the VAT field; the calculator adds it to every fee line and takes it out of the payout.
